MISSION STATEMENT: ASMP San Diego is a local resource for professional photographers, enhancing technical skills, business practices, and communication within the community.
ASMP, the American Society of Media Photographers, was established in 1944 to promote high professional and artistic standards in photography to further the professional interests of its membership by disseminating information on a range of subjects and concerns. ASMP has a membership of more than 7,000 of the world's finest photographers.
ASMP/San Diego is a non-profit all-volunteer chapter providing a local outlet for the sharing of creative, business, and ethical information both with its members and the creative community at large. Through meetings and activities, ASMP/SD provides an opportunity for friendship with fellow photographers and a forum for the constant improvement of the profession. Professional photographers are encouraged to become members of the society and current members are encouraged to participate in our activities.
