Membership Information
ASMP/SD is a chapter whose activities and business is sustained entirely by volunteerism. We hope this website will help you learn about ASMP membership and initiate your membership process. Your presence in our organization is very important to the entire Society and we are looking for high quality people interested in the quality of their future and our local market. Review this information and call us if you have further questions. When you contact our Membership Chairperson and tell us you want to join, we will actively administer to your application and bring you on-board quickly . We are here to help you. Simply let us know when you're ready to join. Below you'll find membership categories, requirements and an application for you to print and complete. You can now join online! All General membership applications must be sponsored, and if needed, our membership chairperson will help in directing you to photographers working in your area of interest, who are also willing to meet with and bring you on-board. If you're looking to ASMP for business development or professional and personal growth, this aspect of the application process can be a highly valuable experience. We now refer to the portfolio review as a proof of publication review. Regardless of what it's called, showing your book not only establishes your publication experience, it helps break the ice, establish relationships and educates our membership about what your talents and interests are. Usually, the publication review results in further professional introductions and potential job referrals.
